Zhang was a lieutenant of the Chinese Mob in Gotham City, until his death at the hands of Barbara Kean and the Sisters of the League.
History[]
He made his first appearance at Barbara Kean's club, called The Sirens. He was angry at Barbara over a personal matter to do with his brother. Zhang's brother had racked up an exorbitant bar tab at The Sirens and had also been abusing the staff there, which had earned him a beating and was then thrown out of the club by Kean's men.
Zhang demanded that restitution be made and that Kean's arrogance and disrespect would no longer be tolerated. Kean mocked Zhang, and asked if an apology would be enough, Zhang replied that he would take her apology in blood.
Zhang and his men took out their guns and were about to kill Barbara, but before they could fire, shurikens flew through the air from behind where Barbara was standing, swiftly killing Zhang and his men in an instant. Lelia and the Sisters of the League appeared behind Barbara, who was now the Dragon's Head of the League of Shadows and whom they were sworn to protect.
