• Even though her first name has been changed to Vanessa, she is based on Jamie Harper, a police officer at the GCPD in the DC Comics. The character was created by James Robinson and Leonard Kirk. She first appeared in Detective Comics #817 (May 2006) where she assisted Comissioner James Gordon in activating the Bat-Signal, summoning Batman and Robin.
