Plot

Gertrud Kapelput performs at her son Oswald Cobblepot's club where he disposes of a heckler. Fish Mooney begins her first day running the prisoners as she plans to get some of them away from their captors. Barbara returns to her apartment where she meets Selina Kyle and Ivy Pepper. James Gordon and Leslie Thompkins attend Haly's Circus where Gordon breaks up a fight between the Flying Graysons and the Lloyds over a female snake dancer named Lila Valeska. They meet her son Jerome as the pet snake is unleashed to find her. While looking for Lila, they find her dead body as the ringmaster states that she was found like this. Mooney speaks to the mercenaries led by Thomas Schmidt stating that she would like a meeting with their boss. Gordon and Thompkins meet the psychic Frank Cicero who claims that he can talk to Lila where "the Devil's servant lies in the gardens of the Iron Sisters." Thompkins figures out the riddle as she and Gordon head to Arkham Park Bridge where they find an axe belonging to the Hellfire Club. Moments later, Gordon claims that Cicero is protecting someone close that was behind the murder as Jerome is brought in. Gordon states to Jerome that he was the one who killed Lila while claiming that Cicero might be Jerome's father. Cicero confirms that he is Jerome's father and that Lila gave Jerome a better father. Jerome then starts to admit that he killed his mother because of her not being a good mother as he starts to laugh maniacally. As Gordon and Thompkins have a romantic moment, Barbara shows up and leaves unnoticed by both of them. Victor Zsasz visits Cobblepot where he has brought Butch Gilzean to help him after spending weeks "working on him." Bruce Wayne and Alfred Pennyworth meet with the Wayne Enterprises Board about the company's business affairs revolving around the criminal underworld getting involved in the Arkham project and Wellzyn's chemical distribution. John Grayson gets engaged to Mary Lloyd after their families reconcile. Mooney is told by Schmidt that his boss will meet with her.
