The Szabo crime family is a significant Hungarian criminal organization based in Gotham City.
History[]
The Szabo crime family were presumably formed after the downfall of the Falcone crime family and when it's leader, Carmine Falcone went into retirement. During Oswald Cobblepot's era of the Pax Penguina, the Szabo crime family paid for one of Cobblepot's licenses. The crime family's leader, a Falcone loyalist called Janos Szabo, appears on screen when Sofia Falcone made an unexpected call at their restaurant.
Sofia asked Janos how his crime family were fairing under Cobblepot's rule, Janos replied that they were doing fine but even if they were not, it would be unwise to say it for fear of retaliation from Cobblepot's men.
