The Sword of Sin was a Dumas family artifact that was wielded by Azrael approximately 300 years ago. The sword was forged by the monks in the Order of St. Dumas and it is fabled to have supernatural powers.
History[]
The Sword of Sin was forged for the warrior Azrael, who used it repeatedly to face the enemies of the Order of St. Dumas, when Azrael disappeared he left his sword behind.
Burial[]
The sword was recovered by Theo and Tabitha Galvin’s grandfather who had the sword and other Dumas family artifacts buried with him when he died.[1]
Strange's Replica[]

Hugo Strange had a replica of the Sword of Sin made for Theo Galvin after his resurrection so he could embrace his new identity is as Azrael and kill James Gordon. The replica sword was destroyed by Nathaniel Barnes when he fought Theo Galvin on the roof of the Gotham City Police Department.[2]
Recovery[]
After Tabitha Galavan warned Jim Gordon and Harvey Bullock about Azrael they went to Tabitha's grandfather's tomb and attempted to retrieve the blade but Azrael appeared and stabbed Tabitha. Azrael would later use the blade in battle against Alfred Pennyworth. After Azrael's death at the hands of Oswald Cobblepot and Butch Gilzean it is unknown what became of the sword.
