Sasha Van Dahl was the daughter of Grace Van Dahl, the stepdaughter of Elijah Van Dahl and the stepsister of Oswald Cobblepot.
Biography
Sasha and her brother Charles grew up poor and being abused by their father. Their mother worked as a waitress and met Elijah Van Dahl. After Grace shared with him the story of their poverty and oppression, Elijah offered for the three of them to stay at his mansion. Elijah and Grace eventually fell in love, and got married. Sasha and her family enjoyed living a lavish lifestyle.
Meeting Oswald Cobblepot
During a trip to Gotham City, Elijah met his biological son Oswald Cobblepot from a previous relationship, and brought him home. Sasha became angry when Elijah mentioned Oswald was his only true blood relative and shattered her glass.[1]
While at the library, Charles came across a newspaper that showed Oswald was a criminal. They attempted to reveal this to Elijah to have Oswald thrown out, only for Elijah to reveal that Oswald had already told him about his past and had been rehabilitated. Grace convinced Sasha to seduce Oswald, but he rejected her advances, which made Sasha realize that Oswald had been rehabilitated as Elijah said.
Elijah soon became sick, due to Grace switching out his heart medication with sugar candies. Elijah asked Grace to call up his lawyer, and Grace realized Elijah was going to leave everything to Oswald. Sasha and Charles were afraid of losing their lavish lifestyle, and Grace poisoned a glass of wine she intended for Oswald to drink. However, Elijah drank the wine by accident and died instead.[2]
Death
After Elijah's death, Sasha and her family treated the timid Oswald like a servant. Their treatment of Oswald combined with the realization that they murdered Elijah for his fortune, caused Oswald to revert back to his old ways as Penguin. Though not shown on-screen, Oswald later murdered Sasha and Charles. He then made them into Grace's dinner, as he gleefully revealed to Grace before killing her.[3]
