Miami[1] is a major city located on the southern tip of Florida in the United States.

History

At an unknown point, Carmine Falcone acquired an estate in Miami and planned on living there during his retirement in later years. When his daughter Sofia Falcone was 13, Carmine sent her away to the Miami house, believing that Gotham City was too dangerous for her.[2]

During the final battle of the Falcone-Maroni gang war in Gotham, Carmine Falcone told James Gordon and Harvey Bullock that he had thought about his future and wants to retire to his place down south as soon as the battle against Fish Mooney is over. Though Gordon was disappointed, Bullock asked Don Falcone if he had any room for the two of them down south.[3]

Having been told he was dying, former crime boss Carmine Falcone moved to Miami from Gotham City in order to be with his daughter Sofia, the latter whom has been living in the city since the age of 13. Jim Gordon arrived at Falcone's estate in order to persuade him to return to Gotham in order to help him take down ruling crime lord Oswald Cobblepot, however Falcone turned down the offer as he was dying. Sofia (who has been operating as a criminal in Miami) followed Gordon back to Gotham in order to help him on his quest.[4]
