Incase you hadn't noticed, I merged Jerome and Jeremiah's page to create a seperate "Joker" page. It's essentially shows both pages at once, as an archive of the characters presence on the show. I might add other characters as well, but ATM it's just those two.
Hey Frieza, as a thank you for your contribution toward this wiki as an admin, we may have something to show our appreciation. To help facilitate that, is there anything you already have in particular to Gotham such as blu-rays/DVD's for seasons?
That was due to him posting about already having the complete series. Our current stock is within the copies of seasons, so as much as we'd like to offer him something, it wouldn't make sense to offer something he already owns. If we get other stock in the future though, we'd likely give him priority then.
I think since he was never called the Joker in the show we should leave him as Jeremiah Valeska. That said, someone messed up his page by calling him Jorka, and the redirect to Jeremiah’s page doesn’t work. I can maybe undo it through the history, but I want your permission.
I actually never agreed with the Mr. J or J nickname either because those are names the never officially took. He never outright said “call me J”. He just went through the list of names, including, J and said “I don’t know” as in “I don’t know what you should call me”.
As mentioned on the discussion on my wall, he doesn't actually refer to Jeremiah as the Joker. His comment was informal on his personal Instagram and his exact words were "final Joker design" (which isn't much different from Tze Chun referring to Jerome and Jeremiah "This Joker" individually on Twitter). I think LukeAtkins87's addition to the Trivia section was the appropriate way of acknowledging it.
And besides possible rights restrictions, it should also be pointed out that he wasn't called Joker in the finale because that wasn't the final form of the Joker yet (although it was probably pretty damn close). As previously confirmed, Jeremiah will continue to evolve (probably into the Joker) or inspire someone else (far less likely).
We were able to get an exclusive behind the scenes clip from Gotham season 5's home media release, which we'd like to run tomorrow here.
Would it be okay if we put it into the Featured Video spot on the Season 5 page? We'd be promoting the page to bring more people to the community, which should be a nice boost to go along with the series finale tonight.
Greetings, Brandon Rhea. That is great news! Featured videos would be a great spot to place it, and I doubt it would cause any contentions at all. Additionally, I might also suggest the New on Gotham Wiki board, as that would formally announce its presence on the site.
By and large, after years of feedback, it became pretty clear that wiki editors strongly disliked Featured Video. So we decided to hide the videos for wiki editors by default, but we added in a preference to bring them back. If you'd like to do that, you can go to Special:Preferences and find that setting in the Appearance section.
As for the Jerome video, do you want that entirely moved over? I can have it appear on both Jerome's page and Jeremiah's page. Probably makes sense to have it still be on Jerome too.
By the way, we're running a giveaway on DC Database and Batman Wiki (US-only) where fans can enter for a chance to win a pair of tickets to a screening of their choice of Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, or Batman & Robin. There's a few other cool prizes too.
What would you think about running this on Gotham Wiki too?
