Mayor Chang served as the new mayor of Gotham City after the end of the No Man's Land crisis. She suceeded Burke, who died when the Upper West Side City Hall was destroyed by a Self-perpetuating Generator shortly before the Cataclysm.

History

After the end of No Man's Land and the reunification with the mainland, Chang appointed James Gordon as GCPD Commissioner during a ceremony at Gotham City Hall.

Ten years later, Aubrey James served as Gotham City's mayor once again.

• Chang also made an appearance in a deleted scene from "They Did What?" that was included as a bonus feature on the home video release. This scene featured Penguin and Riddler discussing their further actions now that Gordon was promoted to commissioner. In this scene, Chang is briefly seen talking to a few city officials during the celebrations at city hall.

Trivia

The closed captions for the episode introduce her as "Mayor Jones", indicating there may have been a last-minute change in the name between the script and taping.
