Bristol is a township in Gotham County, known for being home to many wealthy citizens like the Wayne family. It is located on the mainland north of Gotham City and is separated from the city by the Gotham River.

Situated on the outskirts of Gotham City, Bristol was the place where the neighborhoods of the rich were located. The Wayne Manor is located 40 blocks from the school.

  • In the DC Comics, Bristol is a township on the northern outskirts of Gotham City that is home to many wealthy families. It is the place where Crest Hill is located, an upper-class neighborhood that includes Wayne Manor. Bristol is connected to Gotham City in the south by way of the Robert H. Kane Memorial Bridge and to the suburban community of Sommerset in the west via the Mooney Bridge.
  • Eliot R. Brown included Bristol Township on the standardized map of Gotham City that was introduced during Batman: No Man's Land. This map was also adapted for the television series Gotham.[1]

  • In the continuity of the comics, there are two townships on the outskirts of Gotham City, Bristol Township in the north and Sommerset Township in the west. Bristol is known as an upper-class suburb where mansions like Wayne Manor are located, while Sommerset is portrayed as a middle-class suburb known for its woodlands and nature parks.
  • Bristol Township later also appeared as the location of Falcone Mansion in the 2024 series The Penguin, set in the universe of Matt Reeves' The Batman.
