Bamonte's Restaurant was the eatery owned by Don Maroni which served as a base of operations. It was a well-known Italian restaurant, but also a front for the Maroni family's operations.

History[]

Bamonte's Restaurant was founded in 1900.[1] Bamonte's was robbed by men hired by Oswald Cobblepot, to steal money from the restaurant.[2] At one point, the restaraunt was attacked by Jack Buchinsky, who once worked for Maroni but dumped him after Jack was arrrested for commiting various robberies.[3]

Following Maroni's death and a dissolution of his crime family, it is unknown what became of it.

Notes[]

  • Sal Maroni owning a restaurant as a front for his criminal operations is a possible reference to the 1996-1997 comic story Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb, where the character uses the restaurant "Maroni's Italian Restaurant" for a similar purpose.
